Job  Overview

The Internal Sales Engineer is the initial technical resource for the company and is responsible for actively driving and managing the “application evaluation” stage of the sales process. The role operates as a bridge between Customers and Contracts/Engineering teams, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of resistor products.

A key member of the Sales team you will build close relationships with our customers in dealing with technical sales enquiries, producing accurate and competitive quotes and being able to source solutions to meet their needs.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Processing customer enquiries, which will involve:
    – Initial customer contact via telephone, email, face and face to face
    – Managing and understanding and interpreting customer requirements
    – Producing designs and costed solutions to satisfy these requirements, whilst maximising the benefit for the company
    – Production of quotations/tenders in a timely, clear, detailed and accurate manner.
    – Follow up quotations in a timely manner to secure profitable orders
  • Maintain expert level of product knowledge and applications
  • Provide pre-sales technical expertise and product education to new and existing customers
  • Ensuring orders are processed quickly and that information allowing for design and manufacturing is passed to the relevant department
  • Ensuring that customers are kept informed of order (contract) status and that any issues are resolved quickly
  • Maintaining accurate up-to-date records of enquiries, quotations, orders and customer activity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our fast-paced team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in administration, data entry, or document control, and who is looking to progress within a growing technical business. You’ll work with both technical and non-technical documents relating to medium voltage and high voltage applications, supporting the team in maintaining accurate, up-to-date records across multiple active projects.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage document control systems for technical and non-technical documentation.
  • Ensure all project documentation is correctly versioned, stored, and distributed to relevant stakeholders and uploaded onto customer portals.
  • Support engineers, project managers, and other departments with document handling, formatting, and filing.

Your responsibilities will include implementing electrical best practices, adhering to industry standards, and collaborating with the design team to create innovative solutions. The successful candidate should have hands-on design experience and a solid grasp of both electrical and mechanical engineering principles.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Review design requirements and produce design calculations and production documentation (resistor element and design overview sheets).
  • Produce design calculations and corresponding paperwork to manufacture designs.
  • Approval of drawings, Bills of Materials and other design information issued for manufacture.
  • Participate in research, development, and product testing as agreed with the Engineering Manager.
  • Select electrical components for use in control systems
  • Create 3D models (primarily sheet metal parts) and assemblies, issuing designs for manufacture through engineering drawings and supplementary documentation (Bills of Materials, etc.).
  • Carry out detailed mechanical design work including simulation and design verification testing, as required
  • Review and approve design information from other team members.
  • Adhere to quality systems (primarily ISO 9001), including using Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) to document changes.
  • Conduct technical investigations, perform root cause analysis, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support to Production, Sales, Service, and Customer Support.
  • Deliver projects on schedule and within budget, managing a complex workload efficiently.

  • A high level of competency with Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical is required.
  • A CAD software package such as Autodesk Inventor, Creo, Siemens would be an advantage.

We seek a skilled Production Wiring Operative to support the PowerProve manufacturing team for our industrial load bank range.

The primary tasks of the role will involve wiring of control panels and sub-assemblies from general assembly drawings and wiring schematics.

You will be working from drawings to the relevant company standards, and other standards which may apply to the project, either on your own or as part of a team on larger projects. You will comply with health and safety regulations and adhere to all other company policies and procedures.
